At the end of September, in Harare, there is the 6th annual Kites for Peace event in the Botanical gardens.

I went along to see the location and get into training! This is my friend’s daughter Yashi putting me through my paces 😂😂😂

Kites for Peace “We hope to inspire inner peace and hope, love and unity, and an appreciation for our beautiful environment.”. In Zimbabwe’s current troubled situation it is a great opportunity to stop and reflect on these values!

BlueBelle and I will be attending, BlueBelle will be boasting her over landing prowess as a 2×4 having performed above and beyond … I’ll be selling great music CDs by my friend Hebron and jewellery made by local ladies, all in aid of Kusasa Education Fund.

Kusasa is about making available higher education for girls who are high achievers but in vulnerable or high risk (child marriage, prostitution, abuse) situations.

Come join us!!!

COVID-19 Update

With the suspension of events due to the COVID-19 pandemic,  we are conducting online workshops with children and young adults in various communities.

Our workshops aim to empower children and spark innovative ideas.

Participants use locally available materials to create their kites. Scrap or otherwise discarded materials are also encouraged to build awareness of re-purposing.

Our workshops foster environmental awareness, appreciation and preservation.

They build confidence and teach children and the youth about the basics of positive peace.

Please get in touch if you would like to host one in your community!
